The focus of the Special Constable’s efforts is on public education to obtain compliance with the bylaws of The Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 and provincial statutes.

Perform administrative and investigative work in the enforcement of all appropriate Municipal District bylaws and pertinent provincial statues; nuisance properties and litter control, waste management enforcement, licensing/collection, utility inspections, and Park Warden.

Provincial Statutes:

• Motor Transport Act – regulates the weight of vehicles on the roads within the Municipal District. Due to the high cost of road maintenance and repairs, Council has placed a high priority on overweight enforcement. Portable weigh scales have been purchased to facilitate the weighing of vehicles.

• Highway Traffic Act (Includes Motor Vehicle Administration/Off Highway Vehicle)
