Willow Creek Landfill


Please be advised that the new Willow Creek Class II Regional Landfill is now open to the general public.  The regional landfill is located 5.5 miles south of Claresholm, when travelling on Highway No. 2 and 2.5 miles east on Township Road 114.  Phone (403) 687-2603 for information on the hours of operation.


Willow Creek Class II Regional Landfill Facility Hours:

Monday – Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:.00 p.m.

Thursday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday: Closed

Saturday: 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month from May – October will be open: 8:00a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Please note vehicles must be on site by 4:30 p.m.

From November 1st to April 30th the site will be CLOSED Saturdays.



The municipality encourages the use of the regional landfill in conjunction with the recycling depots located throughout the district.  Recycling depots are located in all of the 5 urban centers.
