Monthly
Payments
Note: Ratepayers may make consecutive monthly payments for property taxes.
How
does the Payment Plan work?
The onus is on the ratepayer to advise the M.D. of their monthly payments. Starting each November, the monthly payment is calculated by dividing your most recent annual tax levy by 12 months. When the current levy is known, the pre-payments are subtracted and the new balance divided by the remaining months up to October 31st.
Cheques can be made payable to the M.D. of Willow Creek No. 26
Payments will be accepted at any time, subject to penalties.
A Canada Post postmark will be honored at the date of payment. If the postmark of Canada Post is absent or illegible, the effective date of payment will be the actual date of receipt by the M.D. of Willow Creek No. 26. The imprint of a postage meter is not acceptable as proof of mailing date.
Post dated cheques will be held and processed on the date specified.
